Dear Supporters,

Peace is at hand. Praise God! An agreement has been signed in the last few days that will hopefully halt the violence in Kenya. Please join us in praying for Peace to continue.

In the second article read about how LCM's Emergency Relief Fund is helping.

Thanks for your support. It is very important.

 Peace Returns to Kenya
 . . . . Praise God !

Kibaki and Odinga signing historic document With fervent prayer and hope in God, Kenya has finally reached an historic agreement to end the violence that has rocked the very foundation and fiber of Kenya. After two months of violence stemming from the flawed general election on December 27, 2007, peace has returned.

Yesterday President Kibaki and Opposition leader Mr. Raila Odinga have signed an historic power sharing arrangement that will have the Opposition leader Raila Odinga running the government as Prime Minister, a newly created position. This deal was signed under the watchful eye of negotiator Chairman Kofi Annan along with other eminent personalties on his team. The incoming chairman of the African Union (AOU), President Kikwete, witnessed the occasion as well.

As reported earlier, the Life For Children Ministry facilities, staff and our orphans have sustained no harm or damage. Praise God.

To our many well wishers, prayer partners, donors, friends and prospective short term mission teams: Thank you for your prayers and support. We want to let you know that peace has returned to Kenya. As you might imagine, your continued support will be needed through this transition period as many displaced people find their way home to empty or destroyed residences. This is the time our service and prayers are needed most. Going forward, things will go as planned.

Please, as you are able, support our Emergency Relief Fund for the displaced people in Kenya. Your continued support is highly appreciated.

Be blessed.

Michael Ouma Agwanda

Local Government asks LCM to assist Children at St Stephens Cathedral camp.
 . . . . 100s are being helped.

Children in tent with sign 2 The results of LCM Emergency Relief Fund can be seen in action at Kisumu's St Stephen Cathedral where over 2,000 people have come to escape the violence. There are only two toilets at the church. Conditions at the church site are not good. As seen in these pictures, local LCM Board Members have purchased a tent to provide a helping hand to the children in this terrible situation. They have used part of the LCM Emergency Relief Fund to buy food, coloring books, pencils and games for the children.

LCM Supporters should be very proud of your immediate response to our message that help was needed. Your help is appreciated very much by Kisumu residents and the local government. This has resulted in an even better relationship between LCM and the local government. LCM has received numerous expressions of "Thanks" from local leaders in Kisumu including Representative Hon. Shakeel Shabir, MP Kisumu Town East and Mr. Paul Achayo, Counselor Migosi Ward. They were so impressed by our performance that they asked for a meeting with our Board Members as soon as Hon. Shakeel returns from a trip to Pakistan.

Pictured here are children receiving food at the LCM Tent. The food was prepared by LCM Board Members and Volunteers. Many of the refugees expressed their thanks for the life giving help they have received from LCM.

Your Support is Critical.

Help Spread the Good Word about LCM
 . . . . A Sign with a Message

Magnetic Sign png LCM has designed a small magnetic sign (4" x 18") that will stick to a car's trunk and not damage the car. It will tell people that Life for Children Ministry helps HIV / AIDS Orphans in Kenya and lists our website and phone. They are available for purchase for $ 20.00 to cover the production cost.

Email - info@LifeForChildrenMinistry.org for additional info.

The actual sign is sharper and better looking than the example shown above.
