The results of LCM Emergency Relief Fund can be seen in action at Kisumu's St Stephen Cathedral where over 2,000 people have come to escape the violence. There are only two toilets at the church. Conditions at the church site are not good. As seen in these pictures, local LCM Board Members have purchased a tent to provide a helping hand to the children in this terrible situation. They have used part of the LCM Emergency Relief Fund to buy food, coloring books, pencils and games for the children.

LCM Supporters should be very proud of your immediate response to our message that help was needed. Your help is appreciated very much by Kisumu residents and the local government. This has resulted in an even better relationship between LCM and the local government. LCM has received numerous expressions of "Thanks" from local leaders in Kisumu including Representative Hon. Shakeel Shabir, MP Kisumu Town East and Mr. Paul Achayo, Counselor Migosi Ward. They were so impressed by our performance that they asked for a meeting with our Board Members as soon as Hon. Shakeel returns from a trip to Pakistan.
