In a letter to Dr. George Freeman, Senior Pastor at North Springs UMC, Mr. Weber wrote “It needs to be noted that the heart and soul of the many people involved and their strong commitment to teamwork, along with His Blessing, produced this successful event benefiting Michael's Ministry and our North Spring's Youth Ministry…The sum of the parts has once again demonstrated the awesome power that can be assembled when a few are Called.”  Dr. Freeman opened the annual charity event with words of blessing and encouragement for Michael and his HIV/AIDS orphan program

The event also included an acoustic guitar performance by the gifted Reverend Dave Benson, Senior Minister at Kingswood UMC.   Thanks Dave for the great tunes!

One of the more interesting and wonderful surprises of the night was the fact that the dinner service was served by the Youth of North Springs UMC.  They worked hard for those tips to support their own youth mission program, earning over $700.00 and made the service fun. Between their colorful hand-decorated aprons, attention to their table service, and their fun conversation, a  good time was had by all attending. Thank you youth of North Springs.  And, let us not forget Col. Ben Willis, who produced another fabulous dinner.

A note of special thanks goes to this year’s Auction Chairperson, Beth Dilworth. Her talent for organizing and overseeing each part of the Auction to assure success was a wonderful thing to witness. Additional recognition goes to Eddie Emmett, Auctioneer extraordinaire. Eddie’s flair for microphone and audience is a rare talent and one that was enjoyed by all. Thank you Eddie for your many wonderful talents.
